Moving Towards Green Development with Care for the Planet
CABIO's environmental management is implemented by the EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) department, which fully realizes the goals of energy conservation and emission reduction. The company employs biological fermentation technology for production—a naturally environmentally friendly and resource-efficient approach. Through the efficient utilization of resources, this technology reduces operational costs, conserves natural resources such as land, and minimizes environmental pollution to protect the planet.
    • Cleaner Production Certification: The company successfully passed cleaner production audits, and both factories completed cleaner production certification.
    • Energy Management System Certification: The company initiated and obtained certification for its energy management system after a rigorous audit.
    • Green Factory Certification: The company applied for the "Green Factory" designation. Its ARA oil and DHA oil products also obtained Product Carbon Footprint Certificates, Type III Environmental Declaration Certificates, and third-party verification reports.
Although the company’s normal production activities do not directly emit greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, energy resources like electricity and natural gas are consumed during production, leading to greenhouse gas emissions from purchased electricity and heat. In 2024, the company calculated the energy consumption of electricity, natural gas, steam, etc., across Gedian Factory, Jiangxia Factory, and Jiawei Factory, resulting in a total carbon dioxide equivalent emission of 62,878.26 tons.

CABIO is committed to optimizing its energy mix and increasing the proportion of renewable energy use:

    • During the reporting period, the company advanced solar photovoltaic power projects. The photovoltaic panels on the rooftop of the Gedian dormitory generated a cumulative 102,896 kWh in 2024, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 54.09 tons.
    • By purchasing green electricity, the Gedian Branch utilized 1,742.336 MWh of renewable energy during the period, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 915.95 tons.
